The grassed area used to belong to the adjacent Vicarage & was fenced to allow animals to graze. The Vicarage was sold, but the land was retained by the church up until March 2003 when the Parish Council purchased the land for the village. Still known as Vicarage Meadow, cricket is played on it in the summer, & it holds our Village Fete. There is also an adjacent football pitch.
