Slip Lane, originally called Greenwood Slip, led to three farms within the village & also the Rectory. Only one farm still remains with the land being used as set aside. The land occupied by the other farms was split up into building plots in the 1960's & now has a variety of houses on. The Rectory & two of the farmhouses remain as does the meadow on the west side of the Slip Lane.
