On the eastern side of the village is Glebelands, which was originally Council housing built just after the Second World War.
A lot of houses are owned privately today. Glebelands is accessed from Short Lane at the top of which are some houses owned by a Trust to provide housing for people with local connections. At the bottom of Short Lane, there are a number of new houses.
