Parking

  • Adjacent to the village hall is a car park with another one on the opposite side of the road.

Lighting

  • Lighting is by fluorescent tubes, but we also have dimmable LED lighting.

Furniture

  • There are 96 red plastic chairs, 20 padded chairs & 3 wooden ones.

  • There are many rectangular tables for use

  • Use of tables & chairs inside is included in the hall charge

  • Use outside incur an extra charge of £6 per table & 50p per chair

Kitchen & Dinnerware

  • Kitchen at the rear meeting all local regulations with cooker, fridge & microwave

  • A comprehensive collection of cutlery & serving pieces

  • Glasses, Plates with matching cups & saucers

  • Other useful items you'd expect to find in a kitchen

 

Infrastructure

  • There are toilets for the disabled & also gents and lady's toilets.

  • Gas central heating & hot water is provided by the combi-boiler.

  • There is an urn that can be used for heating water for tea & coffee.

  • Cables (on the wall) for laptops & computer

  • Room size stereo AV sound system with impaired hearing loop

Stage

  • We have a stage which is *normally 3.1m deep and 0.6m high.
        *If necessary the stage can be closed to 2.1m deep.)

  • The stage has curtains, as shown in the photo above.

Film Night & Presentation Equipment

  • 2 Projectors: mounted on roof beams above the hall towards the stage

  • "Film" projector, close to stage, uses a 3m roll down screen on back wall

  • "Business" projector, mid-room, uses a motorised screen at front of stage

  • Seating is informal with chairs adjacent to tables for drinks & snacks.

  • Film-Night Entry is free but donations are given. (See Newsletter for info.)

 

Basics on duty of care as renter of the Hall

For the fine print, see "Rules of Hire" (esp. Item 7) but basically:

  • left clean & tidy with rubbished removed
  • all the furniture stowed
  • all the taps/lights/heat/power turned off
  • all the windows closed, doors locked
  • the keys returned

Discretionary Deposit (where applicable)

Functions meeting any of the following conditions, are subject to a discretionary £50 deposit.   The deposit is fully refundable if our rules of hire are complied with, and no damage has occurred.

  • longer than 2 hours
  • more than 10 people
  • involves food or drink,

The *cost for booking the hall is at an hourly rate as follows::

  • For private functions, rented by a parishioner - £8 an hour
  • For private functions, rented by a non-parishioner - £15 an hour
  • For commercial use, the rate is slightly higher - £18 an hour:

Note: A commercial booking :is an activity where hirer intends to make a personal profit from the event. This does not apply to "charity" activities:

*For regular (repeat) bookings, a 10% discount applies.
